Matt dropped the team at the site this morning and the crew was set up in short order, then everyone broke into their own areas and jumped across to help in the others as they were needed.
Brian Hockings prepped the electrical for the day and picked up one of the contingent staff, who joined him in electrical. Peter Lloyd finished out the sawhorses alongside Clayton T., an Operation Arrow staffer from Great Rivers Council and a member of Nampa-Tsi Lodge.
That is a recurring theme here and it is worth naming. When someone steps in without being asked, odds are good he is an Arrowman; the entire Skilled Trades team are OA members.
The plumbing station had its first real day, and it was a joy to work through with the Scouts. They roughed in and placed a toilet, installed the sewer stack and its venting, and built a mock cabinet for the sink install.
Peter led numerous ad hoc teams of Scouts throughout the day and got all four walls built. The framing is largely complete. A window still has to be added, and that is by design rather than oversight; it is left out so Scouts can see and participate in the remodel process, not just new construction.
Tomorrow is electrical day. Brian installs most of the electrical, less a couple of parts that never made it to the job site. After work the crew heads to Lowe's for the final materials.
The build is on track and the lost time is largely made up. The Scouts seem to love it, and the Skilled Trades website is getting a lot of traffic.
