The day that started with an inventory count ended with a floor in the trailer and four walls standing. The crew made up a lot of the ground it lost.
The mobile bunk house got its floor. That is the piece everything else on the trailer rides on, and it is down. The trailer is still the coup de grace, the build that ties the whole program together, but today it took a real step toward done.
Over in the program tents, the crew framed and stood four walls. Those are the hands-on stations, the places where Scouts will run electrical, plumbing, and carpentry once the Jamboree opens. Four walls in a day, after a Monday that cost the team most of its build time, is exactly the kind of comeback the morning briefing was aiming for.
The weather did move in the way the forecast promised, thunderstorms and high wind rolling through. The plan now is to head back down to the job site as soon as the storm breaks and keep pushing while the light holds.
